Cost
The Gathering costs around $275 per attendee to cover food and site costs. We recognize the different financial circumstances of our community members and offer a sliding scale for guidance. If you can afford more than $275, we encourage you to pay more to create space for more friends.
If money is a hardship we encourage you to ask your local meeting for support - many meetings have unused travel funds. If you don't have a local meeting, the Pacific Yearly Meeting Youth Fund gives grants explicitly for these types of events. Please try to take one or both of these steps if contributing less than the average cost but know that, no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
Suggested rates for children: $100 for ages 3-9, $130 for ages 10-12, $180 for above 13 (children ages 0-2 are free).
How to Pay
Paypal or Venmo are the easiest remote payment methods that we can take at any time. Just send your donation/payment to @kiernan-colby (Venmo or PayPal, both under our treasurer's name) with a note dictating it’s for NYG (New Year’s Gathering). Alternatively, our registrars Keirnan and Keenan can take cash or check upon arrival at the event site.
If you would like to pay via any other method please email the coordinators at youngfriendsnyg(at)gmail(dot)com.
Once you’ve registered, please send your payment as soon as you are able. The Gathering has expenses we need to pay ahead of time so getting payments in advance is very helpful.
